Flir Systems announces the launch of its new AX8 fixed thermal imaging imager. Small and economical, it combines a thermal imaging camera and a camera for the visible and benefits from Flir's exclusive MSX technology. It is easy to install in cramped spaces for continuous monitoring of the condition of critical electrical and mechanical equipment.
Thanks to its revolutionary thermal camera core, FLIR's Lepton, it can detect temperature problems in electrical and mechanical equipment early on to avoid unforeseen shutdowns, service interruptions and equipment failures. It is the ideal sensor to monitor the condition continuously and prevent fires, which exempts periodic manual examinations.
The AX8 does more than monitor temperatures. Each of the 4,800 points in his images represents a temperature. It produces a data stream via industry-standard interfaces (Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP) to facilitate their analysis. It has a web interface and a complete set of analytics and alarm functions that automatically alert you when it detects high temperatures.
Measuring 54 × 25 × 95 mm, the AX8 is easy to integrate into electrical installations or any manufacturing environment. It produces thermal, visible and MSX videos in standardized formats MJPEG, MPEG, H.264, to facilitate their operation.
With these many functions in a small case, the FLIR AX8 meets the needs of state monitoring and safety in many environments. Like what:
- industrial and manufacturing processes
- Data centers
- electricity generation and distribution
- transportation
- storage facilities
- refrigerated warehouses
- monitoring a critical condition
