The University of Savoy, CTDEC and Cetim are organising the European Tolerance Days on 21 and 22 January 2015 in Annecy (Imperial Palace). This congress will be an opportunity to share industrial experiences and raise awareness of the progress of standardization.
Testimonies of experts in the field (industrial, scientific, teachers), material demonstrations (CAO, measurement...), condensed news, feedback and tools related to the geometric specification of products (GPS) are on the programme of this event.
Why a congress on tolerance?
Controlling the geometric quality of products, including tolerance, is an essential tool to reduce design, manufacturing, control and recycling costs and delays.
It ensures interchangeability, consistency between the design, manufacturing and measurement processes and the quality of the company. Finally, it allows for an optimization of the cost of quality to meet the customer's just need.
Tolerance aims to optimize the specification approach, integrating the entire lifecycle of a product. It's about ensuring functional quality without forgetting the overall cost.
For manufacturing industries, it is a major issue in the relationship between customers and suppliers.
4 axes for the 2015 EDITION of JET
- Return of industrial experiences
- ISO-GPS standards news and future developments
- Statistical aspects (tolerance, quality control)
- Product demonstration
