On the occasion of JEC Europe 2015, PPE is launching Easyperm, the first equipment with innovative technology to measure and evaluate the ability of a reinforcement to drain resin and characterize it in 3 dimensions. It is also a very reliable quality control equipment.
Easyperm is now the only equipment on the market that offers an industrial solution to measure the permeability of a dry reinforcement in transverse (Z) and in the plane (X, Y). Easyperm assesses the ability of a reinforcement to soak in resin. "This is an essential step to carry out filling simulations on large parts and complex parts, but also to optimize processes in high-speed production. Especially since it can be used to characterize all types of fibers (glass, carbon, aramide, flax, hemp...), while minimizing the amount of material needed. explains Jérôme RAYNAL, EPP's commercial and export director.
Easyperm is an extremely reliable quality control equipment, because it relies on a pressure measurement carried out via a network of sensors, which is then post-processed on the basis of Darcy's law. "Easyperm is taking over a measurement technology developed and proven over the past decade, integrating the latest developments in measurement and accuracy," comments Henri Perrin, Head of Research and Development. The physical nature of this measure thus excludes any error of human interpretation.
