As of July1, 2015, Endress-Hauser and Metso Automation Inc. will restructure their sales and service activities in Switzerland and Finland. Both groups intend to divest themselves of the minority stakes they hold in the respective entities and create their own sales and service company to better address the needs of their customers.
With their positions in the Swiss and Finnish markets, consolidated in recent years, Endress-Hauser and Metso have now decided to offer their services each as part of their own sales and service network. However, the two companies will continue to work closely together on the transfer of operations to ensure that their customers transition as smoothly and smoothly as possible.
In Switzerland, Metso Automation Inc.'s minority interest in Endress-Hauser Metso AG will be transferred to Endress-Hauser on July1, 2015. The sales and service company will be renamed Endress-Hauser (Schweiz) AG. It will focus exclusively on Endress-Hauser's offer for industrial process engineering. For its part, Metso will continue its activities in the Swiss market in the field of specialized valves and pumps.
Endress-Hauser's sales and service activities in Finland will be transferred on 1 July 2015 to a new entity called Endress-Hauser (Finland) Oy. This company will be the only representative of Endress-Hauser in the country. Metso will focus on sales and service delivery in the area of flow control solutions for the oil and gas, paper and pulp, mining and other process industries. The minority interest of Endress-Hauser (International) Holding AG in the current Metso Endress-Hauser Oy will be transferred to Metso.
Continuing the new strategy communicated in 2014, Metso will continue its transformation by refocusing on the three sectors of minerals, aggregates and flow control, with mining, aggregates and oil and gas as the target clientele. It will also provide flow control solutions and services to the paper and pulp, energy and other process industries.
