The Emitech Group is gaining height with altitude testing by opening the door to rapid decompression tests on large equipment...
The two subsidiaries of Emitech, Environne'Tech and Adetests, have put into service new altitude test benches capable of reaching 100 mbarA in less than 2 seconds on a volume of 100 liters.
These benches become the new benchmark for carrying out altitude tests according to the Boeing "Standard Cabin System Requirement Document D6-36440 rev G" specification. The Adetests bench was validated in December 2014 in the presence of an auditor from the aircraft manufacturer.
With its 560-litre box, Environne'Tech allows customers to test large specimens in accordance with RTCA DO-160 and MILSTD 810 aeronautical standards that require rapid decompression in less than 15 seconds. The modularity of these benches also allows them to meet specific specifications of major aeronautical contractors such as Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, Safran, Thales, Zodiac...
These tests are aimed mainly at civilian and military aeronautical equipment that encounters high altitude variations and rapid decompressions that can damage them, disrupt their operation, their communication... These tests allow to test the mechanical hold (deformations, breaks ...), the electrical hold (isolation defects, warm-ups ... due to the drop in oxygen) and to highlight design defects (electrical connectors too close, weak points...).
