R&D engineer in Nexo's design office since 1993, Rémi Vaucher will present an online seminar on acoustic pavilion simulation on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
Mr. Vaucher is responsible for integrating loudspeaker parameters into Nexo electronics (equalization, protection, signal processing) and for developing the latest range of installation loudspeakers developed entirely under Comsol.
The horn acts as an interface between the high-frequency compression driver and the air. In professional sound reinforcement (in which Nexo is one of the main players) directivity control is a crucial parameter, enabling precise coverage of audience zones. Our study will focus on the simulation, measurement and representation of this directivity, using Comsol Multiphysics software.
A design loop using SolidWorks, Matlab and Comsol is described. The simulated horns are then prototyped and measured. The measurement is fed back into Matlab and successfully compared with the simulation. This considerably reduces the iterative prototyping process.
This free interactive seminar will allow you to ask your questions live. A video archive of the event will also be available on the website. Free registration and video archive on the website below.
