Philippe Gruat has been elected Chairman of Cerib (Centre d'Études et de Recherche de l'Industrie du Béton). He succeeds Jean Bonnie, President since 2010.
An ESTP engineer with an MBA from ESSEC and a certificate in corporate administration from SciencePo, Philippe Gruat is Chairman of Eurobéton Industrie. He has also been President of ESITC-Caen (École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs des Travaux de la Construction de Caen) since 2013 and a member of the Executive Committee of FIB (Fédération de l'Industrie du Béton) since 2014.
Philippe Gruat has spent most of his career with industrial groups, particularly in the building materials and products sector, where he has held marketing and general management positions. Philippe Gruat began his career with the Poliet group (building materials). In 1995, he joined Air Liquide, where he was appointed General Manager of Carboxyque Française, then Group Strategic Marketing Director. As Group Marketing Director, he joined the Lafarge group in 1999, where he became Managing Director of Lafarge Granulats in 2003. In 2009, at Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France, he became deputy director in charge of industry and specialized banners, then from 2011 to 2014, deputy managing director in charge of marketing, purchasing, logistics and sanitary and heating activities. For the past 6 years, he has chaired Eurobéton Industrie and its subsidiaries, which specialize in the manufacture of concrete products in eastern France (Klein Agglomérés, Prefalor, Prefarhin).
