Philippe Gruat was elected president of the Cerib (Centre for The Study and Research of the Concrete Industry). He succeeds Jean Bonnie, president since 2010.
AN ESTP engineer with an MBA from ESSEC and a certificate as a director of SciencePo companies, Philippe Gruat is president of Eurobéton Industrie. He has also been President of the ESITC-Caen (School of Engineers of Construction Works in Caen) since 2013 and a member of the Executive Committee of the FIB (Federation of Concrete Industry) since 2014.
Philippe Gruat has spent most of his career in industrial groups, particularly in the materials and building products sector, where he held marketing and general management positions. Philippe Gruat began his professional life in the Poliet group (building materials). In 1995, he joined Air Liquide, where he was appointed managing director of Carboxyque Française, then director of strategic marketing for the group. He joined the Lafarge Group in 1999 as group marketing director, where he became managing director of Lafarge Granulats in 2003. In 2009, at Saint-Gobain Distribution Building France, he became managing director in charge of industry and specialty brands, then from 2011 to 2014, deputy general manager in charge of marketing, purchasing, logistics and sanitary heating activities. For the past 6 years, he has presided over Eurobéton Industrie and its subsidiaries, specializing in the manufacture of concrete products in the East of France (Klein Agglomérés, Prefalor, Prefarhin).
