HBM Test and Measurement's (HBM) new QuantumX MX40B Universal Measurement Amplifier, implemented in many sectors, combines precision and flexibility of use and supports IEPE sensors (current-powered piezoelectric sensors).
It can be used universally, regardless of the type of measurement size: mechanical, thermal and electrical to hydraulic sizes,(force, lengthening, acceleration, torque, rotational speed, temperature, voltage, intensity, pressure, flow). The universal measurement amplifier processes each signal and delivers an appropriate response for virtually every measurement and test task. The QuantumX MX840B module further enhances its functionality with universal automatic lane setting (TEDS) inputs.
In addition, the new module supports current-powered piezoelectric sensors (IEPE/ICP) on each channel. With a measurement speed of 40 kech/s and a bandwidth of 7 kHz, it is also suitable for measuring and analyzing electrical oscillations, mechanical vibrations and noise in the areas of time, frequency and angle. Like all other Quantum modules, the new MX840B can be used synchronously and decentralized up to 100m via Ethernet and PTP. The measurement technique is thus closer to the measurement point and can be easily integrated into networks.
Because of its flexibility, the universal measurement amplifier can be used both mobilely and stationaryly in various applications, for example in operating control and durability constructions, or for power and drive efficiency tests.
