The new Omega series of CE-compliant ultrasonic leak detectors offers a range of ultrasonic frequencies from 20 to 100 kHz. Air or gas leakage is generally considered a viscous flow and as the flow accelerates, the frequency of the ultrasound emitted increases.
The HHLT-1R amplifies and converts these sounds into human-audible frequencies and levels. The HHLT-1T transmitter can emit ultrasonic signals for locations where gas/air leaks do not have sufficient pressure to create an ultrasound. The HHLT-1 series is ideal for detecting leaks at the pressure and vacuum system, for detecting leaks in the drain, tanks and system lines, and for inspecting steam traps and gas leaks in general.
