The Epoch 650 is Olympus' new benchmark for ultrasonic flaw detection. Its large, full VGA transflective display combined with the patented large dynamic range digital receiver provides a stable and very clear A-scan representation under all lighting conditions. The device is designed to meet the requirements of EN12668-1 and offers a full range of fault finding features as standard and optional. A large number of built-in reporting tools and a comprehensive data classification system make it very easy to collect high-quality inspection data and then generate inspection reports. Robust and ergonomic, this device can be used in almost any inspection environment. In addition, the capabilities of its flexible PerfectSquare transmitter and the most digital filters in its class make it possible to tackle almost any application.

The Epoch 650 digital ultrasonic flaw detector combines conventional Olympus flaw detection capabilities with the efficiency of a portable and intuitive device. It is equipped with software with efficient menus and direct access keys which make it an excellent fault finding platform which is very easy to use.

It is designed for use in almost any inspection environment, from the laboratory to extreme and hazardous outdoor environments. Designed according to the protection index IP66 (dial) and IP67 (keyboard), it has undergone very high level tests in terms of environment and reliability.
