Flir Systems announces its new CM55/57 flexible amp tongs and TA72/74 accessories, universal power sensors designed for electrical applications. Equipped with narrow and flexible tores, these new tools allow electricians to take accurate measurements in cramped areas that would have been difficult to access with conventional amperemetric clamps.
Used with CM55/57 amperemetric clamps, TA72/74 universal current sensors can easily wrap around obstacles for very accurate measurements and readings, up to alternative currents of 3,000 A. Long, narrow-sectioned, flexible loops measure bulky drivers and provide better access for torusing in crowded spaces. Both products are available with tores 25 cm or 45 cm long. They will be particularly appreciated for measurements around multiple drivers and for difficult or very deep accesses. Portable, lightweight and sturdy built to withstand 3-metre falls, CM55/57 also provide powerful lighting of the handy dual-LED work area when taking reading in dimly lit areas and in congested electrical cabinets.

Those who already have a multimeter clamp, and want the same flexibility with the CM55 or CM57 can pair most of the digital multimeters and amperemetric clamps on the market with flir TA72 or TA74 accessory sensors for easy inspection and navigation.
The CM55/57s have Bluetooth communication for remote viewing and data transfer to iOS and Android devices via the Flir Toolsmobile app. This allows data to be quickly shared and analyzed directly from a construction site. Users can even connect multiple wireless units for remote viewing of multi-phase systems. The TA72 and TA74 sensors are equipped with a standard banana plug output for the voltage signal, making them compatible with the digital multimeters and amperemetric clamps of all brands.
