Laser Components offers an ever-growing selection of IR detectors based on different, partially overlapping technologies, inviting customers to ask themselves: which specific configuration is best suited to my application? Or: how can I find the solution to this question more quickly?
This is precisely what the R&D team at Laser Components is doing, and with this in mind they have prototyped a user kit for pyroelectric detectors and uncooled PbSe detectors, including suitable radiation sources. The development kit works autonomously with a single-board computer, as well as transmitting and receiving modules.
Measurement results are displayed on a touch screen, which is also used to control the device. Data can be stored on a memory card, and there is an analog output for the amplified signal.
