Turbomeca, a subsidiary of the Safran Group, awarded SKF Aeroengine France the "Gold Supplier Award" for its industrial performance and innovation capacity.
As part of its deployment strategy aimed at excellence in results, Turbomeca has formalized this new label, intended to reward its best industrial partners. This award focuses on the value of industrial intelligence, innovation dynamics and the competitiveness of its suppliers.
This award crowns the relational quality and the relationship of trust that has been established over the past five years between SKF and the Safran Group. SKF has been able to meet Turbomeca's expectations and exceed the requirements of its interlocutors in the development of many major projects for the Safran Group.
Jean-Baptiste Jarin, Turbomeca's Deputy Purchasing Director, said: "We would like to congratulate SKF's efficiency as well as the quality of its expertise and control of its industrial flows. His ability to undertake, innovate alongside us and interact regularly with our teams has enabled us to improve the competitiveness of our products and services."
Gilles Ofcard, site manager of SKF Aeroengine France, explains: "Our industrial flexibility coupled with respect for our customers' specifications pushes us towards ever more efficiency and added value within our own production chain. This award reinforces our approach to quality demand."
The Valenciennes site, the centre of excellence for the SKF Group in aeronautical bearings, produces 160,000 bearings per year, bearings for engines and transmission boxes for market leaders. This site now has 560 employees and dedicates 60% of its production to export.
