The Forum des professionnels et utilisateurs de la documentation 3D, a unique event in France, will inaugurate its first edition on October 15 and 16. Organized by Faro, this gathering of professionals aims to enable scanner users to improve their knowledge and mastery of digitizing equipment and software, and to exchange ideas with other users. The event will be held at the prestigious Château de Sans Souci in Limonest, near Lyon.
The themes of "passing on know-how" and "learning" will be at the forefront of the 3D Documentation Forum. That's why experts from Faro, its partners Geomesure and Geotopo, and Siteco will be leading a number of practical workshops, the themes of which have been chosen with a view to the problems frequently encountered by laser scanner users. One workshop will be dedicated to scanner control and parameter optimization. Various registration methods will be the subject of several sessions. The documentation, sharing and enhancement of digitized data will also be addressed. Experts will also present how, using plug-ins developed by Faro, to transfer, exploit and model point clouds captured with scanners in the Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit suites.
" The event is intended as a platform for communication and learning, a place to exchange ideas and an innovation forum for laser scanner users. 3D documentation using scanners has become increasingly popular in recent years, thanks to its ease of use, speed and affordability. With this Forum, we aim to enable all users to make the most of scanners for their business. "says Giuseppe Mazzara, Faro's Sales Manager for 3D documentation.
This event is primarily aimed at users of the brand's laser scanners. But those who are curious about the technology and interested in implementing 3D documentation in their business sector are also welcome.
