The Forum for Professionals and Users of 3D Documentation, a unique event in France, will open its first edition on October 15th and 16th. This professional meeting organized by Faro aims to allow scanner users to improve their knowledge and control of scanning devices and software and to interact with other users. The event will be held in the prestigious setting of the Château de Sans Souci de Limonest, near Lyon.
The themes of "transmission of know-how" and "learning" will be at the forefront of the 3D Documentation Forum. This is why experts from Faro and its partners Geomesure and Geotopo and Siteco will lead several hands-on workshops whose themes have been chosen taking into account the problems frequently encountered by users of laser scanners. A workshop will be dedicated to mastering the scanner and optimizing its parameters. The different methods of recalcing will be the subject of several sessions. Documentation, sharing and enhancement of digitized data will also be discussed. Experts will also present how, using plug-ins developed by Faro, transfer, exploit and model the points clouds captured using scanners in the Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit suites.
"This event is intended as a platform for communication and learning, a place for the exchange of ideas and a forum for innovation for users of laser scanners. 3D documentation using scanners has become widely democratized in recent years thanks to its simplicity of use, speed and affordability. With this Forum, we want to enable all users to make the most of scanners for their activity," says Giuseppe Mazzara, sales manager of 3D documentation at Faro.
This event is aimed primarily at users of the brand's laser scanners. But those interested in technology and those interested in implementing 3D documentation in their industry are also welcome.
