Cetim-Certec, one of the key technological skills centers in the Centre-Val-de-Loire region, and the main driving force behind the Industrie du Futur technological dynamic, is offering manufacturers, particularly SMEs in the aerospace and defense sectors, a shared platform for additive manufacturing.
With financial support from the Centre-Val-de-Loire region, Feder, the Cher département and the Communauté d'Agglomération BourgesPlus, Cetim Certec is setting up this unique additive manufacturing shared production facility for companies in the region. This €1.5 million project will enable around ten manufacturers to benefit from a shared platform, enabling them to qualify their own investment decisions.
These manufacturers can thus validate the feasibility of a new technology on their own products, and can appropriate new resources while limiting financial risks. Costs are pooled and skills multiplied by the permanent presence on site of Cetim-Certec technicians and engineers, who contribute their know-how and liaise between the various participants.
This scheme complements the "Factory of the Future" project launched by the regional council, which aims to support 50 small and medium-sized businesses along a path ranging from a complete diagnosis to support and technological investment, including the implementation of a new, more competitive industrial organization that places particular emphasis on people and reducing the ecological footprint.
Cetim-Certec is associated with Cetim and FIM, members of the Alliance for the Industry of the Future launched by President François Hollande and Emmanuel Macron, which aims to support the country's industrial transformation. The AIF unites industry and digital professional organizations, as well as academic and technological partners, around this shared ambition.
