Trescal buys Kalibrix and expands in Germany

Trescal announces the acquisition of Kalibrix (Germany). This acquisition will bring an additional 2 million euros in revenue.

Headquartered in Ledenscheid, North Rhine-Westphalia, with a second site in Luckenwalde, Brandenburg, Kalibrix provides accredited "One-Stop-Shop" (DAkkS) metrology services in the areas of dimensional and low-frequency electricity. The company also specializes in the calibration of force machines, thus expanding Trescal's range of skills.

Kalibrix employs 25 people. Its founder, Christian Michel, will remain in its position to support the company's growth in the coming years and ensure rapid integration into Trescal. "I am very pleased that the Kalibrix team is joining the Trescal Group," said Timo Grenewalder, Director of Germany. This acquisition completes the Trescal network in Germany and also brings two mobile calibration laboratories to the group and accreditations for materials testing. Customers of both companies will benefit from this acquisition."

This acquisition was carried out with the support of Trescal's majority shareholder, Ardian, the independent private equity firm. This is the^15th acquisition since Ardian acquired Trescal in July 2013.
