Delta Mu announces its entry into the Italian market with the creation of Delta Mu Italia.
Supported by the BPI and the CCI Auvergne, Delta Mu has been able to cooperate with the members of the GMEE group in creating a new entity, also designed to change industrial metrology practices towards greater efficiency. GMEE shares the same vision of the metrology profession as Delta Mu since its creation. The same desire to see metrological practices evolve, and the same objectives to serve industrial excellence. And so, thanks to a pooling of ideas and well-founded, passionate exchanges, Delta Mu Italia, based in Milan, was born in February 2016.
The objectives are ambitious, and Delta Mu Italia's president, Nuno Dos Reis, is keen to quickly put a team in place around Annarita Lazzari, who has been entrusted with the company's business development.
The acronym GMEE first appeared in Italy in 1983, when the National Cooperation Group for "Electrical and Electronic Measurements" was set up. Since its inception, the group's aim has always been to promote and coordinate research into electrical and electronic measurements, and to foster, through the exchange of information and knowledge, coordination between academics and researchers in the sector.
The GMEE association, which includes many expert researchers in the field of measurement, is a major player in national metrology activities. In fact, the association has a strong presence throughout Italy, with 42 research units based in the most prestigious universities and research institutes. Thanks to a wide network of scientific and technical contacts, the association's members are able to tackle and solve metrology-related problems on the international market.
Delta Mu Italia will be taking part in its first trade fair on April 20 and 21, 2016 in Turin (Torino Lingotto). The company will be present at the A&T Affidabilità & Tecnologie event: Italy's leading event on testing, measurement, material characterization, process and handling controls.
