Proline 100 is the first range of flow meters in the world to enable digital communication via PROFINET. Thanks to its ultra-compact design, the Proline 100 offers all the features in a small space. It has been specially designed for modular process facilities with skids in the life sciences and agri-food industries:
Profinet represents the technological advance of the PROFIBUS field bus based on the industrial Ethernet. This protocol was initially developed by Siemens as well as Profibus - Profinet International (PI). As a successor to PROFIBUS DP, Profinet has proven itself for several years in production automation and mechanical engineering. It currently holds a 30% market share. Profinet, similar to EtherNet/IP, guarantees total interoperability: in other words, it is a continuous and uniform communication system between the control device and the field device. It is also possible to use multiple protocols simultaneously or integrate existing field bus systems using proxy technology. Profinet therefore offers the same advantages as an industrial Ethernet protocol, such as the real-time transmission of large volumes of diagnostic data and processes from multivariate field devices.
Given the growing importance of Profinet, Endress-Hauser now offers the industrial Ethernet protocol for its range of Proline 100 compact flow meters. It is the first manufacturer in the world to offer this.
Main advantages of Profinet
Built-in web server for easy setup and quick troubleshooting
Preventive maintenance through the provision of reliable diagnostic data (e.g. Heartbeat technology)
Fast and reliable device integration directly from the device with the Device Description File (GSD)
Increased facility safety and easy maintenance through easy replacement of field equipment without the need for tools (automatic setting of settings)
Flexible network design (for example, star topology)
Configuration of simplified offline settings, without the need for additional tools. And the ability to automatically upload files to the field device.
Port Ethernet for flexible star topology
Key benefits of Proline debittres
Compact multivariate measurement technology that saves space
The very high level of protection (IP 69K) ensures perfect waterproofing, even during cleaning operations
Proven sensors with perfect long-term stability
Resistance to vibrations and external forces of pipes
Optimal measurement accuracy
Little maintenance; no moving parts
Coriolis flow meters:
Promass 100 (P, S, I, E, F, H, A, O, X, G, Cubemass C)
Electromagnetic flow meters:
Promag 100 (H, P)
Maximum transparency during the process Proline flow meters can be seamlessly integrated into the PROFINET engineering environment. It is therefore possible to recover all diagnostic and process data at any time during operation, allowing for optimal monitoring and evaluation of the data. Malfunctions or disturbances can be easily recognized and managed immediately, allowing for a long-term increase in facility availability.
