Tuesday, June 21 will be held a technical day on NF ISO 17025 accreditation organized by the LNE
Although more than 2000 laboratories are already accredited under NF ISO/CIS 17025 for "General Requirements for the Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories," numerous audit returns reveal discrepancies, notably on the "technical requirements" part of the repository. Laboratories face difficulties in putting into practice the necessary and sufficient means to meet the requirements. The LNE will meet with calibration, testing or analysis technicians and laboratory managers and quality managers on June 21, 2016 to review the NF ISO/CIS 17025 standard and its requirements.
On this day, Cofrac members, LNE experts and experienced auditors will meet to present and exchange solutions with participants tailored to the requirements of the standard.
The day will begin with a Cofrac member speaking about the NF ISO 17025 accreditation as recognition of a competency. Experts from the LNE will continue with a presentation of the accreditation repository and its requirements. In particular, the progress of the ongoing revision of this repository will be discussed.
The afternoon will be punctuated by two roundtable discussions on "how to address the most frequent gaps?" involving experienced Cofrac listeners, LNE experts and technical day participants. The first roundtable will address concrete gaps in personnel, environment, sampling, transportation, equipment and traceability. The second will address concrete discrepancies in method validation, inter-laboratory comparisons and measurement uncertainties.
