RS Components (RS) is launching a new range of Wi-Fi microscopes ideal for electronics engineers and mechanics responsible for industrial inspection of electronic or mechanical assemblies, and quality control such as inspecting welds on circuit boards. The range includes applications such as printing, repair, automotive, laboratory research and measurements. The portable digital microscopes in the RS Pro range are compact and easy to use.

The range relies on Wi-Fi wireless communications to enable measurements or recording images or videos from a PC, tablet or smartphone. The series includes six microscopes delivered with a wide range of features, including some models with: a built-in adjustable polarizer that reduces glare and reflections on shiny objects; a high magnification option, offering a magnification of 500 to 600 x; The ability to visualize objects under white or UV light, ideal for scientific police and biomedical applications; as well as a model operating at longer distances with a wider angular field, ideal for repair, rework and assembly.

The range also includes a digital microscope that can be connected to a wide range of television models via an RCA cable and the Wi-Fi radio relay. The device has a magnification of 5 to 200 x, a resolution of 656 x 492 pixels, a maximum frame rate of 60 fps and a wireless remote transmission up to 5 m. The lithium-ion battery can be recharged from a laptop or PC via a USB socket and allows you to work continuously for two hours. The package also includes two transparent protective covers, a 5V CC power supply and a quick start guide.

The application accompanying the Mic-Fi allows transmission from microscopes directly to a smartphone or tablet, and can be downloaded from the App store or Google Play. It has a range of functions including measuring and recording images or videos.

RS also offers a USB to Wi-Fi streamer, which allows USB-enabled devices, such as microscopes or endoscopes, to record images or videos and send them over Wi-Fi to a PC, tablet or smartphone. The range of microscopes comes with a variety of desktop supports that allow stable hands-free use. Each product comes in two versions with British or EU socket.

The RS Pro product range offers customers a combination of quality, performance and value for money, reinforced by the RS quality label: all products have been tested in the laboratory and meet the requirements of professional use as well as the standard industrial certification standards of each country.
