The CLS82D sensor with Memosens technology has been designed to measure conductivity in a wide range of applications in the life science and food industries, such as :
- management of product separation during in-place cleaning ;
- chromatography ;
- fermentation.
CLS82D highlights
- Reduced sensor size for measuring in small-diameter pipes.
- A very wide measurement range from 1 μS/cm to 500 mS/cm, with good accuracy and reproducibility even at low values, to cover all applications.
- Hygienic design to meet health requirements (EHEDG, 3-A and FDA materials).
- Memosens technology digitizes the sensor's analog signal and continuously monitors the complete loop for safer, more reliable measurement.
Why 4 electrodes?
In applications requiring a wide measurement range, it is often difficult to measure conductivity accurately. Thanks to its four electrodes, the Memosens CLS82D sensor achieves maximum accuracy even in such applications. To determine the electrical conductivity of liquids, either a 2- or 4-electrode conductive or an inductive measuring principle is used. The 2-electrode conductive principle has high measurement sensitivity and is particularly well suited to low-conductivity media such as ultrapure water or drinking water. Inductive conductivity measurement is suitable for high-conductivity media such as brine, acids and bases.For applications requiring a wide measurement range, such as phase separation, fermentation or chromatography, conductivity measurement with 4 electrodes is the most suitable.
