Rotronic SA, headquartered in Switzerland, has been taken over since July 6, 2017, by Process Sensing Technologies (PST), a platform owned by the global technology sector investment company Battery Ventures. With this takeover, Rotronic and Battery Ventures together lay the foundations for Rotronic's strategic development. The Swiss measurement technology company thus becomes part of PST and its portfolio of measurement process and analysis companies. Rotronic thus benefits from additional resources, to perpetuate its position in an increasingly demanding international market.
As part of the investor group Process Sensing Technologies (PST), Rotronic will have the status of an independent company, alongside PST subsidiaries Michell Instruments (UK) and Analytical Industries (USA). With additional resources, and within a strong partnership, Rotronic will be able to develop new innovations and consolidate its position on the international market through constant growth.
In recent years, Rotronic has been managed by the Schroff family of entrepreneurs, who have focused on new product development and successfully established the company internationally in the "Measurement Solutions" production sector. In this field, Rotronic has evolved from a specialist in relative humidity measurement to a universal supplier, also dealing with temperature, CO2The PST takeover provides the company with new resources for international growth and future innovation. The "Commerce" business area, comprising the UPS systems, electronic cabinets, power supplies and catering systems sectors, was handed over on January 1.er July 2017 by Rotronic to Secomp SA. Secomp SA was founded in 2014 from the IT activities of Rotronic Switzerland, and is a subsidiary of Secomp Holding SA.
Managing Director Michael Taraba, who was responsible for Rotronic's operational management for 25 years, has left the company and will devote himself to the management and board of directors of the Secomp Group. Hansruedi Merz and Andreas Gähwiler will remain in the Rotronic AG management group. Andreas Gähwiler, who has already been with Rotronic for 17 years, took over Michael Taraba's position on 1 January.er July 2017 and heads Rotronic, as CEO. This is a sign of continuity. Adam Markin, CEO of PST, will join the management group.
