Two months after launching the "Industry of the Future" challenge, SKF announces the selection of the 14 finalist start-ups that will compete in the grand final on November 8, 2017, at the SKF site in St-Cyr-sur-Loire. This first edition aims to encourage French start-ups to submit a disruptive and innovative project to support the digital transformation of SKF's plants in France. The gamble paid off, with a total of nearly 80 applications submitted in the 3 Industry 4.0 pillar categories. 14 were selected.
1- Processes & materials of the future category
– Enovasense has developed an innovative technology for measuring coating thickness on all materials.
– OptimData optimizes production line uptime by connecting industrial equipment to digital services.
– Scortex has developed a self-learning automated visual inspection solution for quality control.
– Leti spin-off offers new X-ray detector technology for non-destructive testing.
2- Cybersecurity & data science category
– CYM offers predictive maintenance algorithms by monitoring and analyzing machine behavior.
– I-Guard has designed an artificial intelligence system for site protection and IT security.
– Tellmeplus has developed a "Predictive objects" platform to automate the creation of prescriptive models in industrial environments.
– Skeyetech has developed an intelligent drone with a connected docking station for securing industrial sites.
3- Industry 4.0 category
– Energiency has developed software to analyze the plant's energy performance.
– HoloMake offers ergonomic augmented reality systems integrated into factory workstations.
– Itris Automation Square industrializes an innovative approach to PLC programming.
– Picomto offers a collaborative solution for document management of dynamic work instruction sheets.
– Singularity Insight integrates a connected eyewear solution for operators in industrial environments.
– Sysnav offers a totally autonomous and independent precision geolocation solution for indoor applications.
All finalists will have their projects supported by SKF and Atos "business experts" right through to the final. During this in-depth phase, the 14 finalist start-ups will be able to adapt their project to the SKF industrial and Atos digital contexts.
