Emitech is located at 16 sites in France, including 5 in the Ile-de-France region. Since its inception in 1989, Emitech has quickly pushed back the walls of its Montigny site to grow its CEM, radio and security laboratories. Its development then spread to Angers and Montpellier on the occasion of the entry into force of the CE marking and then to Versailles-Satory in the Ile-de-France to host its activities in climatic and mechanical environments.
As emitech grows and acquires, it has expanded its range of skills and know-how. Each centre, each subsidiary has its own centre of excellence in the image of LEFAE, which has just joined the group and which, in the field of aeronautical fire tests, is one of the world leaders.
The founder and CEO of Emitech, Matthieu Cognet has initiated a strategic development plan for Emitech 2020 inspired by the roadmap set out when it was created by its Toulouse centre. Starting from a blank sheet, the aim was to offer on a single site all the resources to offer a complete service.
This progress plan aims to reinvent the Emitech Group's industrial tool to strengthen its coherence. It applies completely to the Bourgoin-Jallieu site where its subsidiary Environne'Tech has just built an 800m2 extension to strengthen the local offer offered to nuclear players with in particular new solutions related to earthquakes.
It now applies in the Ile-de-France region where, taking advantage of its planned departure from its Versailles-Satory site following the real estate development of the city of Versailles, the group's activities are in the midst of a reorganization.
As a result of this reflection, Emitech has just acquired a 6,000sqm building near its historic site. Like the work carried out in Toulouse, this new centre will bring together the skills of the different sites in Ile-de-France according to the specific needs of each sector. For example, to offer a global service to the automotive division, this centre will combine dedicated CEM testing methods and the climatic and mechanical means formerly located in Versailles-Satory. Engineering and training services are also located on this new facility located on Avenue des Trois Peuples, less than 400 m from the historic headquarters located 3 rue des Coudriers.
Eventually, the activities of the Orgeval and Courtaboeuf centres will also join this site.
Launched before the summer holidays, work is progressing rapidly and the first trials are already planned for early November.
The official opening will take place in the first quarter of 2018 once the development work for the existing premises is finalized.
