Great depth of field
Undoubtedly, the great depth of field makes it much easier to observe small pieces. Thanks to the deep range of field, even samples with an irregular surface can be measured efficiently and reliably (hence the possibility of conducting a contamination analysis in accordance with ISO 16232, for example). In fact, the lens, camera and image processing engine are designed to provide an optimal ratio of depth of field, resolution and brilliance.
The tilt of the lens and the rotation of the turntable have no influence on the field of view. For the operator, this allows an intuitive observation of the target from all angles. In addition, there is no need to move the target, hence a high reproducibility.
Observation settings, such as magnification and lighting method, can be recorded with the image. Thus, the user can capture new images under the same conditions as an existing image and directly create analysis reports, containing the required information in addition to the images.
For reliable 2D and 3D measurements, the use of various information (color, contrast and height) makes it possible to make measurements, without variation between users, and at any position on the image. Note that measurement results can be recorded on the image or exported to CSV for further analysis.
