Labeled Sigfox Partner, Emitech is the only French laboratory recognized to carry out the Sigfox Ready certification.
Founded in 2009 in Labège, a suburb of Toulouse, Sigfox claims to be the world leaderin IoT (Internet of things)connectivity services. With itsLPWA (Low Power Wide Area)network, Sigfox is currently deployed in 36 countries, 17 of which have national coverage and covers 660 million people in a geographical area of 2.6 millionkm2.
For billions of equipment to communicate, the deployment of base stations in the territory is not everything and it is also necessary that the on-board part of the communicating objects be properly implemented. In this context, the company makes it mandatory for any device communicating on its network to be Sigfox certified. This is to ensure that Sigfox connectivity is integrated into partner devices with an adequate level of performance and to maintain a high quality of service on the Sigfox network through the compliance of each device with Sigfox radio specifications (driving and radiated).
This Sigfox certification program allows its partners to integrate Sigfox connectivity with the delivery of their library that implements their protocol, but also to evaluate the overall performance of the product and evaluate the quality of service.
Labeled Sigfox Partner, Emitech is the only French laboratory recognized to carry out the Sigfox Ready certification. In particular, measures are being implemented to assess the radiation performance of the final product. These tests classify each material as a rising link and reflect the efficiency of the radiated power emitted by the equipment.
It should be noted that Emitech proposes to carry out the steps related to CE marking, which is a prerequisite for any commercialization in Europe. The proposed service may extend to taking into account the procedures required for the different countries subject to marketing outside The European borders or to the personalisation of tests for a tailor-made qualification.
Recently, the Sigfox Ready steps no longer have to be initiated by soliciting Sigfox, but can be addressed directly to Emitech.
