Industry - Industrial outlook

To meet the expectations of the public authorities around French industry and innovation, GL events, in a role of facilitator of these communities, has implemented an offensive strategy to bring together an unprecedented offer in French industrial shows. A new milestone is reached today with the presentation of a new name: GLOBAL INDUSTRIe. The four entities - Midest, Smart-Industry, Industry and Tolexpo - came together to create this international event that brings together all stages of the industrial value chain. This unprecedented synergy can count on the support of public, national and territorial authorities, the Alliance for the Industry of the Future (AIF), and socio-professional organisations as a whole.
GLOBAL INDUSTRIe brings together, in a unit of time and place:

  • the entire industrial ecosystem: start-ups, product/solution providers, OEMs, subcontractors, contractors, large groups, regions;
  • the entire value chain: research - innovation, design, production, services, training;
  • all user sectors: transport - mobility, energy, agri-food, infrastructure, consumer goods, chemistry, cosmetology, pharmacy, mechanics, defence/military, metallurgy, steel industry...

GLOBAL INDUSTRIe unites the industry as a whole, all exhibitors and corporations that support this initiative:

  • 79% of visitors see an interest in visiting a new show featuring Midest, Smart-Industry, Industry and Tolexpo.
  • 96% of visitors, directly involved in the industry of the future, say they will visit this new event in March 2018.
  • 91% of exhibitors believe that this gathering will be beneficial to their activity.

Demonstration, information and training

By promoting French and international know-how and industrial excellence, GLOBAL INDUSTRIe aims to:

  • to foreshadow the industry of the future and innovation on a European scale by its connected factory: a large demonstrator in operation on 1,000 m2, combining the technologies and know-how presented at the 4 shows (76% of visitors want to find equipment in operation on a trade show).
  • to inform about the industry of the future and innovation with its TV sets where French and international business leaders, major accounts and experts will share their feedback...
  • to promote the image of the industry in France to the general public, especially young people, to accompany them towards new trades and new skills with its campus bringing together all the actions carried out in favour of employment, training and the attractiveness of the trades of the industry.

With its offering, animations and forward-looking conference programme, GLOBAL INDUSTRIe will reflect the developments that are shaping the industry of tomorrow today.
