The Asgard Group continues its acquisition strategy by completing the acquisition of Semelec through Sofimae, its wholly-owned subsidiary, on 31 January 2018.
Since 1972, Semelec has been performing metrology and maintenance services on site or from its laboratory based in Ulis (91). Semelec offers a multi-brand service offer independent of manufacturers. The company brings to its customers a know-how and recognized skills in industrial metrology, in the fields of electricity-magnetism, time-frequency of dimensional, temperature, masses, forces and pressure. Its clientele is found in all industrial sectors such as aeronautics/space, defence, telecoms, rail, automotive, electronics, energy and medical.
Semelec's laboratories in the fields of electricity-magnetism and time-frequency are accredited by the Cofrac. For these same areas, Semelec also has a Cofrac accreditation for services performed on a customer site.
The pooling of services, skills and resources of Sofimae and Semelec will enable the Asgard Group to strengthen its offer of metrology services, and thus improve its response to the expectations of its customers. The Asgard Group, since the sale in 2016 of its electronic manufacturing activities carried out by ALLIANSYS, brings together with AOIP, Dimelco and Sofimae now associated with Semelec, three companies in the field of instrumentation.
