The rescuers at sea (SNSM) and IESPM signed a sponsorship agreement in Paris at the premises of the SNSM, in the presence of Marc Sauvagnac, general manager of the SNSM and Laurent Chapelot, general manager of IESPM.

Each year, SNSM rescuers carry out more than 5,000 interventions at sea and provide assistance to more than 8,000 people. Through this partnership, IESPM wishes to put its know-how at the disposal of rescuers at sea, by supporting the SNSM in the monitoring of their vessels by the technique of oil analyzes. The maintenance of boats is indeed essential to ensure the availability of rescue equipment at all times and to allow interventions in complete safety.

A partner in maintenance services for over 55 years and very attached to the SNSM's missions, IESPM will monitor the motors and inverters of the boats at the 218 SNSM rescue stations in France and overseas. IESPM also offers to train the technical management of SNSM in the interpretation of results and sampling techniques.

“ Establishing a partnership with IESPM is a godsend because our maintenance needs are strong; we must succeed in avoiding breakdowns, increasing the lifespan of our boats, while controlling our maintenance costs. We also need to train some of our volunteers in effective maintenance techniques. Oil analysis is one of them, ”emphasizes Marc Sauvagnac.
