The Acoem Group (€62 million sales, 450 employees) announces the acquisition of the Indo-Australian company Ecotech, specialized in air quality control (€24 million sales, 220 employees).
The Group's mission is to help companies and public authorities limit their environmental impact, by offering them products and services to prevent noise and vibration pollution, improve air quality, and increase the productivity and reliability of industrial machinery.
On the strength of this acquisition and its positions in the buoyant environmental monitoring market, the Acoem Group aims to double its sales by 2020.
" Ecotech's expertise in air quality complements our historical skills in acoustics and vibration, making the Acoem group the first company in the world to position itself in the measurement, analysis and control of all environmental parameters. The acquisition of Ecotech also enables us to accelerate our international development, opening up markets in Australia, India and South-East Asia. explains Fabien Condemine, CEO of the Acoem Group.
Nicholas Dal Sasso, Managing Director of Ecotech, comments: ". Joining the Acoem group is an opportunity for Ecotech to pursue its development, by participating in the international success of a group with which we share a common vision and values."
This external growth operation is in line with the Acoem Group's strong growth over the past 5 years (from €40 million in sales in 2011 to €62 million in sales in 2015), and supports a development strategy aimed at making the Group the world leader in environmental parameter monitoring. The merger will also enable the two companies to capitalize on each other's expertise and positions, namely :
- Ecotech will develop its air quality expertise across all the areas covered by the Acoem group, in particular Europe, North America and Brazil;
- The Acoem Group will be developing its expertise in acoustics and vibration throughout the areas covered by Ecotech, including Australia, India and South-East Asia.
