Trescal announces four new acquisitions worldwide: Vale Balanças in Sao Jose dos Campos (Brazil), Aicher Kalibrierdienst in Biberach (Germany), Atlas Copco's metrology business in Germany and Massachusetts Metrology in Boston (USA). These acquisitions will bring approximately 6 million euros in additional revenue to the group.
Four strangers...
Created in 2009 in Sao Jose dos Campos, Vale Balanças, accredited IPEM, offers metrology and maintenance services for scales up to 80 tons and employs 7 people. The founders, Ademir Pereira and Julio Cesar Moraes join Trescal.
Founded in 1997 and based in Biberach, Aicher Kalibrierdienst is a DakkS accredited metrology laboratory specializing in the life sciences sector and employs 10 people. Its founder and current CEO, Mr. Aicher, remains in office to help develop Trescal Germany's client portfolio in the life sciences sector.
Atlas Copco's metrology business includes 3 DakkS accredited laboratories located in Wetzlar, Kiel and Munich. These "one-stop-shop" laboratories have strong electrical and mechanical skills and employ 36 people with a turnover of 3.5 million euros.
Founded in 1977 and based in the Boston area, Massachusetts Metrology is an A2LA accredited laboratory specializing in temperature and pressure, particularly in thermal treatment according to the AMS 2750E standard specific to the aviation industry. Massachusetts Metrology employs 8 people in the aerospace, food and pharmaceutical sectors. Richard Rothstein, its current owner and CEO, will remain in his position to continue the development of Trescal in the state of Massachusetts.
... and a Frenchman
The group also announced a takeover in France. He acquired SFINT, an expert in temperature measurement.
Founded in 1972 and located in Marolles en Brie (94), SFINT employs 32 people and has a turnover of 4 million euros. The company offers Cofrac-accredited metrology services in the laboratory. SFINT also offers its customers a range of sensors and temperature sensors (thermocouples) that it manufactures in its laboratory.
The company's general manager, Olivier Garçon, will remain in his position to continue the development of this entity within the Trescal group. He commented: "We are delighted that the SFINT is joining the Trescal Group. Thanks to this rapprochement, we intend to consolidate our national presence and accelerate our international development. It is therefore with great enthusiasm and optimism that we envision our common future."
These are the28th,29th, 30th, 31st and 32nd acquisitions since Ardian bought Trescal in July 2013.
