Hexagon AB acquires ProCAM, a distributor of Vero Software solutions in Italy
Hexagon AB has also acquired ProCAM Srl, an Italian distributor of CAD/CAM solutions and complementary software. Founded in 1995, ProCAM resells the Edgecam and Radan programs of CAD/CAM software developer Vero Software, acquired by Hexagon. ProCAM will be part of the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence division and operate within the Vero organization.
Initially established as a dedicated Edgecam reseller, ProCAM has expanded its production software offering to include the Radan solution and complementary suites. Based in Padua, Italy, the company employs 15 people and supports an extensive network of sub-distributors active in the Italian market.
" The Italian market is important for Vero and our future ambitions. Our direct entry into this country through the acquisition of ProCAM is therefore a major step forward. During its 20-year partnership with Vero, ProCAM has proved to be an extremely competent reseller, with a good understanding of our customers' requirements. Managing distribution channels directly in Italy is a great advantage for Vero, our partners and our customers. "says Steve Sivitter, CEO of Vero Software.
The acquisition of these two companies has no significant impact on Hexagon's results.
