The design of the MagnaFORM™ scanner lets you quickly and reliably inspect welds and stress corrosion cracks. To this end, the following functions have been added:
No need to strip and repaint the room. Control through paint.
Control of the most complex welds thanks to dynamic air gap compensation.
Time-saving weld inspection in a single pass!
Assessing the depth of open defects!
Conventional inspection methods require paint removal prior to inspection. MagnaFORM's multi-element eddy current (ECA) solution lets you control the part through the paint.
What's more, this scanner lets you inspect the entire weld surface in a single pass, reducing inspection time. It detects both linear and transverse indications in heat-affected zones, the root, the bead and the crevices of the weld.
The dynamic air gap compensation function, designed to be effective for the most difficult welding applications and the most corroded surfaces, provides an excellent means of checking that the probe remains sensitive to open discontinuities. This makes the data easy to interpret. It's worth pointing out that all channels use this real-time compensation to keep sensitivity at the same level. With the MagnaFORM scanner, you can characterize stress corrosion cracking in highly corroded areas.
For some conventional inspection methods, such as dye penetrant testing, you'll have to wait a while for the results. The MagnaFORM scanner offers real-time C-scans, eliminating waiting time.
Eddy current inspection software lets you assess the depth of open discontinuities, and data is recorded at the touch of a button.
