Maximum accuracy thanks to a highly innovative new sensor
The Promass A sensor is mounted on a support that acts as a "shock absorber" and effectively protects the Coriolis measurement system from external vibrations and driving stresses. On the other hand, the oscillation frequency of the measuring tube is much higher and its oscillation behavior completely balanced. It is possible to measure from a flow of 8 g/min with a measurement uncertainty of ±0.1%. With an uncertainty of ±1%, it is even possible to measure at speeds of less than 1 g/min.
Device construction - robust and industry-optimized
Because of its high corrosion resistance (stainless steel, Alloy C22; NACE MR0175/MR0103), the Promass A is ideal for process applications, and especially for offshore and onshore areas with aggressive saline air. The sensor can also be used for many applications in hygienic or sterile environments in agri-food and life sciences. This is ensured by various certificates and approvals (3-A, FDA, EC 1935/2004; FDA, USP Class VI, TSE/BSE) as well as the use of a pharmaceutical-grade stainless steel construction.
Transmitters for simple system integration
Various transmitters are available for the Promass A: Proline 200 (two-wire device), Proline 300 (4-wire device) or Proline 500 (separate version). They allow simultaneous measurement of mass flow, volume flow, density, concentration and temperature. Access to measurement and diagnostic data is possible at any time thanks to numerous field buses (EtherNet/IP, Modbus RS485, PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, HART, WirelessHart) as well as freely configurable E/S and WLAN (web server).
Heartbeat Technology - for maximum operating security
Heartbeat Technology is a test function that is integrated into all Proline measuring devices. It allows for permanent self-diagnosis as well as a metrologically and certified T-V-certified tracking device without interruption of the process. All this reduces complexity and risk in an installation and increases its reliability and availability. Since the Promass A measurement system was developed in accordance with IEC 61508 (SIL), it is also preferred for use in security-related applications.
The Promass A ensures maximum robustness and accurate measured values with unmatched repeatability. All this thanks to the innovative sensor concept that sets new standards in Coriolis measurement technology. The Promass A is lightweight and compact - with no loss of performance or robustness.
