Eddyfi Technologies announces the launch of The Panther, a new ultrasonic imaging system. Aimed at laboratories and industrial inspection, Panther is an instrument dedicated to non-destructive multi-element ultrasound (PAUT) testing and in particular to the multi-focus method (FTP or TFM in English).

A compact aircraft, Panther combines the very high acquisition speeds required for conventional multi-element ultrasonic non-destructive testing with a comprehensive set of imaging techniques adapted to the TFM method.

Industrial laboratories and research and development groups will be particularly sensitive to its high-definition TFM imaging of more than 1.5 million pixels in real time and a data transfer speed of more than 320 MBps. In combination with its Acquire software, Panther is the fastest and most versatile PAUT/TFM solution on the market.

Panther will offer very high-speed inspection modes, targeting integrators for manufacturing controls and industrial inspections. Thanks to its parallel architecture and the ability to nest multiple instruments (up to 16 units of 128 lanes each), Panther will be able to meet the speed and resolution requirements for the most restrictive applications.

"Panther is the result of more than 15 years of experience gathered by our production and laboratory control experts. It is designed to provide a very high data transfer capability between the device and the associated computer, allowing it to meet the highest needs and expectations of our customers. The new performance of graphics processors (GPU) integrated into compact, industrial and affordable PCs allows us to offer a flexible solution for laboratory use as well as for production control. Panther links multi-item inspection methods such as TFM to the industry's high-speed ultrasonic control requirements," explains Laurent Le Ber, Eddyfi product manager for Panther.

Panther is compact and can be declined in many configurations ranging from 32:128 to 2048:2048 lanes. The Acquire software and its software development kit (SDK) allow for fast, advanced and personalized configurations. Acquire software inspection data is fully compatible with Enlight, Civa and Ultis analytics software.
