The new Allen-Bradley 42AF RightSight M30 photoelectric cell is the latest addition to Rockwell Automation's smart sensing range. With resistance to challenging environments and long detection distance in a medium-sized case at right angles, the RightSight M30 smart cell offers the flexibility and performance required for a wide range of demanding applications.
"Our new photoelectric cell has been designed to improve reliability in challenging environments, where dirt or unwanted particles could accumulate on the cell lens," explainsAdonis Evangelista, product manager at Rockwell Automation.
With IO-Link functionality, this cell integrates easily into Industry 4.0 systems by transmitting data and diagnostics directly to a control system to reduce downtime and improve productivity. The cell uses this feature to transmit information that helps improve operational efficiency and streamline maintenance. For example, it transmits signal strength, location, proximity alarms and timing functions. 360-degree high-visibility power and state lights also make it easy to set up, monitor and troubleshoot.
The durable right-angle case offers universal mounting with front (30 mm) and base (18mm) mounting, allowing for quick and flexible installation and replacement. Because the IP67/IP69k/1200 psi-approved case is fully sealed, the RightSight M30 can withstand extreme industrial environments, including those subjected to high-pressure, high-temperature washes. Offering multiple detection modes, this cell is also available in easy-to-install, un adjusted models, as well as versions that adjust sensitivity and output configuration at the touch of a button.
