ESPI announces the renewal of the partnership with high-precision machine tool manufacturer Bumotec at THE EPHJ 2019 show (to be held from 18 to 21 June 2019 in Geneva). The two companies show a close and strengthened collaboration around the management of machine tools, visitors will be able to discover their solutions in the service of the productivity of the factory operators.
Choosing the most suitable production solution results in efficient and cost-effective production. Linking a machine tool to a steering system that controls and corrects production parameters without interrupting it, combines and guarantees efficiency and profitability from the first part.
At the EPHJ show, on stand A71, visitors will be able to witness the demonstration of the machining of a watch link featuring ESPI'sDynamic Process Control(DPC) solution, consisting of a Scanflash machine for the control of possible machining drifts and Tool'sDriver software for the steering part, namely the calculation of tool corrections and the adjustment of machine tools. On the Bumotec S181 milling/turning centre, Tool'sDriver will be directly integrated into the machine's IHM (Men's Machine Interface).
The demonstrations will illustrate the performance of ESPI's solutions on the Bumotec machine. ESPI's innovative and production-oriented solutions are not mere means of control but are recognized as real sources of productivity gains to increase machining times. By reactive control in production, the DPC approach halves series change times, removes adjustment waste and ensures dispersal-free production.
"Dozens of DPC solutions are used by aeronautical, automotive, prestigious watchmakers and reputable precision mechanics subcontractors. For these customers, the immediate availability of measures combined with the saving of machine tool adjustment time has resulted in returns on investment well below 12 months," said Fabrice Moreau, Director of ESPI Switzerland.
