Kreon innovates with the launch of the Zephyr III, a new 3D scanner primarily designed for CMM applications.
The Zephyr III, which was previewed at Control in Stuttgart from May 7 to 10, completes the current KREON Zephyr range and opens it up to a new generation of CMM scanners, based on more than 25 years of experience in industrial metrology. Whatever the industry or application, the Zephyr III scans parts in record time, without sacrificing the accuracy of the mesh or point cloud obtained.
A 3D scanner focused on productivity
The Zephyr III is a high-end 3D scanner that can scan the most complex parts with a high acquisition speed (600,000 pts/sec). Its wide laser line of 150 mm, exclusive on CMM, brings a significant gain in productivity, especially on large parts. Its blue laser always delivers the best measurement quality even on black or shiny parts, which are considered difficult.
A 3D scanner ready for automation
On a CMM, the Zephyr III would offer a real plus in the automation of inspections. Compact and compatible with PH10 multi-orientation heads, its great freedom of movement allows the scanning of parts with complex geometry. The Zephyr III, thanks to the possibility of attaching a probe directly under the scanner, can scan and probe simultaneously in the same measurement range.
A versatile 3D scanner
With its great flexibility of use, the Zephyr III is a 3D measurement solution suitable for many machines. In addition to CMMs, it can be interfaced to optical trackers, machine tools, robots, or even to KREON measuring arms. Reliable and robust, it can be used in any environment.
The Zephyr III will be available for delivery from mid-September.
