Kreon is innovating with the launch of the Zephyr III, a new 3D scanner primarily for MMT applications.

Presented in preview at the Stuttgart Control show, which took place from 7 to 10 May, the Zephyr III completes the current KREON Zephyr range, and opens it up to a new generation of MMT scanners, based on more than 25 years of experience in industrial metrology. Regardless of the industry or application involved, the Zephyr III scans parts in record time, without sacrificing the accuracy of the mesh or point cloud obtained.

A 3D scanner focused on productivity

A high-end 3D scanner, the Zephyr III can scan the most complex parts with a high acquisition speed (600,000 pts/sec). Its 150 mm wide laser line, exclusive to MMT, brings a significant productivity gain, especially on large parts. Its blue laser always delivers the best quality measurement even on black or shiny parts, deemed difficult.

A 3D scanner ready for automation

On MMT, the Zephyr III would offer a real plus in automating controls. Compact and compatible with PH10 multi-orientation heads, its great freedom of movement allows the scanning of complex geometry parts. The Zephyr III, thanks to the ability to attach a sensor directly under the scanner, can simultaneously scan and feel in the same measurement range.

A versatile 3D scanner

The Zephyr III is a flexible 3D measurement solution for many machines. In addition to MMTs, it can be interfaced on optical trackers, machine tools, robots, or even on KREON measuring arms. Reliable and robust, it can be used in any environment.

The Zephyr III will be available for delivery from mid-September.
