Family Office Evolem has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in RX Solutions, an X-ray tomography equipment manufacturer and service provider.
RX Solutions was founded in Annecy in 2006 by Loïc Cherel and two associates. The company specializes in tomography, a 3D X-ray imaging technique that enables the interior of industrial parts to be inspected without destroying them.
Its business is built around two models. On the one hand, it designs, manufactures and distributes tomography machines and the software integrated into these tomographs. On the other, it offers its customers non-destructive testing and metrology services, via a fleet of dedicated machines.
Initially focused on sales to universities and research centers, RX Solutions machines are now mainly used in industries such as automotive, aeronautics, electronics and micro-mechanics.
RX Solutions has a long-standing reputation as a specialist in the sector, and is renowned for the precision of its machines. It achieves sales of around €8 million, of which €55 % is generated internationally.
The company's shareholders, Loïc Cherel (founder), Enzo Di Luigi (managing director), François Vaudaine (technical director) and Norbert Giraud, wanted to join forces with Evolem to benefit from build-up expertise and support in structuring their company so that it could absorb the strong growth envisaged.
"Right from our initial contacts, we were won over by Evolem's project, by the priority given to the long term, and by the quality and pragmatism of the team. The creation of a new sector division, capable of generating strong growth in our target market, will enable us to accelerate the international development already underway at RX Solutions. This new partnership will enable us to fully exploit the company's growth potential in the field of non-destructive testing, and contribute to the satisfaction of our customers and our teams", explains Enzo Di Luigi.
"RX Solutions has recognized expertise in an innovative and fast-growing niche market. The role of tomography in the non-destructive testing and metrology markets continues to grow every year. The management team's experience in this market, the company's excellent performance and the opportunities for a build-up convinced us to set up a new division with the existing management team", says Samuel Saucourt, one of Evolem's executives.
