The M62 Scan from Marposs is a universal gear measuring system designed for very rapid inspection of the tooth flank of cylindrical gears. A compact yet robust design makes it suitable for operation in the workshop environment with precision and repeatability. M62 Scan enables fast, efficient checking of gear profiles (a typical feature of conventional gear inspection) in the production environment.
One of its advantages is its measuring speed, compared with the gear-measuring machines used in laboratories. The probe can measure all tooth flanks, two-flank control, in approximately 60 seconds.
Marposs M62 Scan reduces the workload on gear measuring machines in the metrology room. It enables intermediate inspection to be carried out directly in the production environment, thus reducing time and production losses.
An intuitive interface
The system is easy to use, thanks to its guided interface. This intuitive interface enables simple, automated operations.
Thanks to a specially shaped stylus with universal contact, M62 Scan is capable of dynamically scanning the profile along a transverse line of each flank. The system uses encoders to detect the angular position of the chuck, as well as the linear displacement of the stylus contact, guaranteeing high-performance measurement. Controlled by an electric actuator, the stylus can measure gear diameters ranging from 20 to 180mm.
M62 Scan is part of the Marposs range, where measurement performance has been defined to comply with the most common metrology standards in the mechanical transmission parts sector.
The M62 Scan is a high-performance, cost-effective solution for measuring gear profiles in the workshop.
