Faro Technologies, a specialist in 3D measurement, imaging and realization solutions for the 3D metrology, AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) and public safety analysis markets, has announced the arrival of two new vice presidents. Avi Ray-Chaudhuri holds the position of Vice President of Hardware R&D, and Wesley Tilleyi holds the position of Vice President of Software R&D, joined the company on August 31, 2020.

With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, Avi Ray-Chaudhuri has over 20 years of successful leadership in a variety of industries, including semiconductors, advanced lithography and laser development. Most recently, he was Vice President of Commercial Laser Engineering at Lumentum, where he reduced product development cycle times and implemented program management, engineering and operational practices.
Wesley Tilley offers over 30 years' experience in the telecommunications industry, primarily in product management and R&D leadership. He most recently held the position of Vice President, Communications Software as a Service at Oracle, where he led a strategic shift in the global business unit's strategy towards cloud-native SaaS offerings in the telecom space. Wesley Tilley holds an MBA in General Management from Duke University and a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
