One of Alphanov's main missions is to support the creation of photonics companies in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, either by offering technological support to project leaders, or by transferring activities resulting from its in-house research.
Over the years, Alphanov has acquired extensive skills in optoelectronics and developed a wide range of modules for driving optical components. Now mature, these technologies have been transferred to the young company Aerodiode, which Alphanov has been supporting throughout 2019, with a view to its creation on January 6, 2020.
Aerodiode offers a complete range of over 30 high-tech products, including laser diode driver electronics, fiber optic modulators, high-speed synchronization electronics, and complete laser diode reliability test systems.
Laser diodes are used in many fields, including facial recognition, augmented reality, autonomous cars, Lidar and fiber lasers.
According to Alphanov, the flexibility and versatility of Aerodiode's technologies offer users considerable time savings, both in R&D work and in the integration and industrialization of photonic systems.
For Benoît Appert-Collin, Director of Alphanov, "This is the first time that Alphanov, as a technology center dedicated to innovation in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, has carried out the technology transfer of such a broad technology base. Aerodiode's current team was clearly best placed to promote and further develop all these innovations, and I have no doubt that they will meet with the success they deserve."
"We'd like to thank Alphanov for allowing us to continue this fascinating business we launched 12 years ago. It's clearly the right time for us to reach out to the market, as we realize how much these flexible solutions are valued by our customers." said Sébastien Ermeneux and Adèle Morisset, co-founders of Aerodiode.
