Improved process safety thanks to Cerabar and Deltabar
Endress + Hauser launches the new Cerabar and Deltabar pressure transmitters. Thanks to their Bluetooth interface, they are easier to use and easier to maintain in security systems. A high level of security, combined with high plant productivity and availability, are the basis of our enhanced security approach. Heartbeat technology makes it possible to check the functionality of devices without interrupting the process. The new Cerabar and Deltabar pressure sensors will be launched in the 4th quarter of 2020.
Benefits
-
Improved process safety
Virtual assistants guide the user through the locking and iterative SIL test and thus avoid operating errors - Safety by design: according to IEC 61508
- A checksum (CRC) guarantees that the security parameters are not modified
- The display backlight changes from green to red in the event of a fault
-
Simplified use
Intuitive configuration via the Endress + Hauser SmartBlue app and Bluetooth interface - Guided sequences simplify commissioning
- Operation of the device via optical keys without opening the cover
-
Industry 4.0 ready
Device verification without process interruption thanks to Heartbeat technology - Heartbeat Monitoring can detect process irregularities and clogged pulse lines
- Heartbeat technology gives you advanced diagnostic functions
Simplified use
Ease of use is a major advantage for many reasons. Many industries face a growing shortage of qualified personnel. Major facility overhauls often involve service providers whose staff do not have extensive knowledge of the equipment and systems present on site.
The quantity of safety-related equipment has also increased sharply in recent years, for example in the chemical industry, and with it the number of expensive iterative tests for SIL.
