Pieces of revolution: innovation and precision to the extent

ACCRETECH (Europe) GmbH - Metrology

Presented at the European premiere at Stuttgart's Control show in the spring and then on display at the EMO show in Hamburg on 16 September, Rondcom Crest provides, according to its manufacturer Accretech, the highest measurement accuracy ever achieved in its field.
This revolution parts measuring device, capable of telling whether the shape of a piece resembles a perfect circle, is mainly used in bearing, piston and cylinder block manufacturing sites. Concerns about reliability and quality in the automotive and aeronautical fields are creating a new demand for which the performance of the Rondcom Crest can play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of very high precision parts. This new machine is also designed for calibration laboratories and high precision manufacturing environments.
Iterative development
"The design engineers at Rondcom Crest's mission were to create a new machine to enable our customers to take the next step in the requirement for precision: to go beyond what the competition could offer at a very competitive price. Bet held! "Accretech, Tokyo's Seimitsu Co, one of the world's leading suppliers of industrial metrology products and advanced equipment for the semiconductor industry, is pleased.
Positioning accuracy being the priority, the designers have introduced several developments (pending patent), such as contactless mechanisms without any noise or vibration to achieve an accuracy ten times greater than the well-known 65B model, considered to date the leader in its field. Until the desired accuracy was achieved, the team of developers collected data, identified possible causes and took action for each cause... and repeated this process.
Accretech has also devoted its efforts to the appearance of its machine, in order to adapt to the "aesthetic requirement" of the European market. The particular focus on the design and ergonomics of the Rondcom Crest, such as the integration of a large protective glass, allowed to control the dimensional variations due to temperature changes, and thus to eliminate this impact on measurements.
The Rondcom Crest can even be equipped with its own air conditioning system in case the installation environment cannot guarantee a temperature or air flow suitable for such high measurements.
Accretech's Rondcom range offers intelligent technologies, developed to solve complex measurement operations. It allows measurements of deviation of shapes by rotating the part with an accuracy of up to 0.01 m, especially suitable for the control of revolution elements. It also allows to measure heavy parts without rotation symmetry such as cylinder blocks, vilebrequins or engine casings. All Accretech measuring devices are provided with intuitively controlled software with which it is possible to analyze the results in graphic form and record them.
