Endress+Hauser's partner program gains momentum with IIoT solutions
How can field tools and components be easily integrated into automated systems? The answer to this question is becoming increasingly important as the digitization of industrial production progresses. Endress+Hauser's Open Integration partnership program brings together 13 manufacturers who are keen to ensure simplified interaction of their products. Softing Industrial Automation joined the partner network at the beginning of the year.
Open Integration partners test and document the interaction of their products for current process automation applications. This represents a double benefit for users: they can combine the best products for each application, and commissioning is rapid. Automation technology suppliers also appreciate the benefits of the Open Integration program. For these companies, it is essential to be able to detect potential problems upstream and resolve them before the products are installed on the customer's site.
" We go far beyond the test methods established in this program by observing the functionality of complete system architectures in a laboratory environment. "Jörg Reinkensmeier, Marketing Director at Endress+Hauser, explains. " We do this for specific fields of application or customer solutions. Once all the tests have been successfully completed, the reference topologies, as we call them, are published in the form of mutual recommendations. ".
Thirteen companies are currently involved in the program. All the partners are suppliers of control technology, fieldbus infrastructure, measurement technology and actuator systems: Auma Riester, Bürkert, Festo, Flowserve, Hima Paul Hildebrandt, Honeywell Process Solutions, Mitsubishi Electric, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Turck and, most recently, Softing Industrial Automation.
Network technology specialist
Softing Industrial Automation is a leading provider of software and hardware designed to integrate technologies and data into plant and process automation environments. " Our companies have enjoyed many years of fruitful cooperation, which encouraged us in our decision to join the Open Integration partnership program. "says Thomas Hilz, VP Strategic Accounts at Softing Industrial Automation.
" The reliability and outstanding quality we know from Endress+Hauser are also paramount values at Softing Industrial Automation. I, and the company as a whole, look forward to the years ahead, when we will be helping our partners to ensure the connectivity of their sensors. ".
" Softing Industrial Automation strengthens our partnership program with additional expertise in data exchange and information provision in the field "says Jörg Reinkensmeier. " In addition to networking process control technologies, connectivity is playing an increasingly important role in IIoT solutions. Our aim is to exploit this potential together with all our Open Integration partners ".
