Endress + Hauser's partner program grows in importance with IIoT solutions
How can field tools and components be easily integrated into automated systems? The answer to this question becomes increasingly important with the progress of the digitization of industrial production. The Endress + Hauser Open Integration partnership program brings together 13 manufacturers who want to ensure a simplified interaction of their products. Softing Industrial Automation joined the network of partners at the start of the year.
Open Integration Partners test and document the interaction of their products for common process automation applications. This represents a double benefit for users: they can combine the best products for each application and commissioning is quick. Automation technology vendors also appreciate the benefits of the Open Integration program. For these companies, it is essential to be able to detect possible problems up front and resolve them before the products are installed at the customer's site.
“ We go well beyond the test methods established in this program by observing the functionality of complete system architectures in a laboratory environment ,” explains Jörg Reinkensmeier, Marketing Director at Endress + Hauser. “ We do this for specific fields of application or customer solutions. After all the tests are successful, the reference topologies, as they are called, are published as mutual recommendations ”.
Thirteen companies are currently part of the program. All partners are suppliers of control technology, fieldbus infrastructure, measurement technology and actuator systems: Auma Riester, Bürkert, Festo, Flowserve, Hima Paul Hildebrandt, Honeywell Process Solutions, Mitsubishi Electric, Pepperl + Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Turck and most recently, Softing Industrial Automation.
