Zeiss reorganizes

Since 2019, Carl Zeiss France SAS's microscopy business has initiated various organizational changes in order to best support its clients in the academic and industrial sectors in their acquisition project and in the use of their microscopes.

A new IQR entity(Industrial Quality - Research)

Since January 2020, Cyril Aujard has taken over the management of the Carl Zeiss IQR(Industrial Quality - Research)entity, bringing together the various departments of the two RMS(Research Microscopy Solutions)and IQS(Industrial Quality Solutions)activities. Each of the activities has its sales and service teams, taking care of the entire Zeiss catalogue of optical, electronic and X-ray microscopy solutions. They were created to better meet the needs of users and the specifics of their applications. The RMS division provides Zeiss microscopy solutions for the life sciences, materials sciences and raw materials and processing industries. The IQS division specializes in providing microscopy and metrology solutions for the manufacturing and assembly industries.

Two new sectors

The RMS sales team is present at the regional level and is divided into eight sectors, two of which are new (the Great East and the Southwest). Each of these sectors has a single commercial interlocutor for all microscopy solutions, Zeiss, working with a team of product specialists and application engineers for optical microscopy and electron microscopy/X-ray. This new organization aims to meet the need to support customers at every stage of their acquisition project and to respond to requests for training and software support after the commissioning of their system.

Easier and faster access to the SAV

In order to better support its customers in the processing and follow-up of their SAV requests, Zeiss has set up a customer support centre, enabling a centralized management of administrative and technical saV requests. The arrival of a new RMS SAV manager accompanies the establishment of a new telephone hotline. It can be reached by all Zeiss customers via a single phone number and email address for all SAV requests for all Zeiss microscopes, and includes a technical hotline for first-level maintenance.

This new organization has been deployed since 1 March 2020.
