Deltamu is launching the Deltamu Digital Academy, a Digital Learning platform dedicated exclusively to industrial metrology. This project began in 2019, a year of great growth for the Auvergne company, with the aim of offering a training format that is both digital and personalized able to meet the requirements of the industry of the future: interactive courses with e-learning modules available 24 hours a day and regular support for the trainer, eligible for payment of educational costs, without travel, etc.
The implementation of this new online format was at the heart of Deltamu's projects before the containment - which further demonstrated the need to be able to work and train remotely.
“Digital Learning in the French industrial world is still far from reaching the level of the United States, where it has been adopted by no less than 77% of companies. However, the benefits of this formula are numerous, not only thanks to the accessibility of the courses, but also, on the educational level, thanks also to the "hybrid" design of the training courses which facilitates the transfer of skills and improves the experience of the courses. learners thanks to diverse content and numerous interactions with the trainer through virtual classes or discussions via the forum , according to the company. Indeed, Deltamu, known for being the company behind the concept of Smart Metrology , did not want to limit itself to following the market trend, but was keen to place people at the heart of the process. These trainings, 100% remote, provide for constant exchanges with a metrologist trainer, expert in his field and able to follow, in a personalized way, each participant. "
The interactivity of the platform (a real Learning Engagement Platform ) and the tutoring allow to reach engagement rates of more than 90%, against 20% for traditional eLearning.
At the end of the training, a certificate is issued to each learner. All Deltamu training, a Datadock referenced body, including those of the Digital Academy, can be covered by an Opco (Skills Operator) as continuing training. Deltamu is also committed to a Qualiopi certification process for 2021.
From the first day of confinement, Deltamu employees were able to work remotely. Thanks to the modern technological means and the digital infrastructures implemented by the company, Deltamu has obtained the “WorkAnywhere” label from ChooseMyCompany, making it one of the 60 companies that are the most successful in teleworking.
Deltamu was therefore able to take advantage of this troubled period to focus on building the future of metrology and work on substantive subjects, including the finalization of the Digital Learning platform.
A project team, comprising the general manager Nuno Dos Reis, the sales manager Marie Blanc, the project manager Alice Peynet and the communication manager Riccardo Tommasi, was thus formed with the support of the whole team to launch before the were the first courses of the Deltamu Digital Academy training platform.
“Metrology, like industry in general, is often stigmatized for its lack of adaptability. This is not the case at Deltamu which, since its creation in 1998, has set itself the goal of breathing new life into the science of measurement. For more than 20 years, we have defended the idea that the role of metrology is essential to guarantee the reliability of measurements and therefore of data to make efficient decisions. To share and disseminate our vision of Smart Metrology , we are involved daily in changing its role and challenges, thanks to the development of high-performance metrology software (Optimu), also available in Cloud version, innovative methods (the optimization of calibration intervals, Inter-Instrument Comparisons, natural monitoring loops, etc.) and, finally, Digital Learning training, ” says Deltamu.
A beta phase of the Deltamu Digital Academy was launched in early June, thanks to the voluntary participation of loyal customers of the Auvergne company. “Deltamu offers us a digital training which allows a fast, complete and efficient handling of the module presented during the three scheduled sessions. Having a week between each session, this allows everyone to move forward and go through the different stages of the module at their own pace and in a fun way, in parallel with a daily professional activity. Juggling between theory and practice, this training is particularly relevant in the learning and operation of the software, in particular thanks to real-time monitoring operated by the trainers who accompany us throughout the course. Having been working on it for a few months already, I was able to realize the many assets it has and which I was not yet aware of. This training is therefore a real springboard for knowing and mastering the many possibilities and tips of the Optimu software (…) ” , says Julien Laure, from the metrology department of the Colas group.
The training offered will be of two types: metrology (from fundamentals to practical application on very concrete themes such as "knowing how to meet the requirements of the MSA" or "optimizing the calibration intervals FD X07-014") and software (for learn how to use and master the different modules of the Optimu metrology software such as management of measurement means, calibrations, uncertainties, etc.).
New programs will enrich the current Deltamu catalog and will soon be available on the platform in French, Italian and English, due to the now international dimension of the company.
