Piezoelectric tip / tilt platforms are now used in many applications such as the alignment of optical components, optical grippers, wafer inspection or even laser machining processes.
These solutions provide great guidance precision thanks to a backlash-free deformable structure that generates no friction and requires no maintenance. Some models allow operation above 1.5 kHz.
Equipped with patented Picma piezoelectric actuators, PI tip / tilt solutions are protected against humidity and faults linked to an increase in leakage current.
This technology ensures a service life up to ten times longer than conventional actuators with polymer insulation.
It is thus possible to carry out more than 100 billion cycles with these devices.
The design based on parallel kinematics makes it possible to limit inertia and ensure homogeneous dynamic behavior on the different axes while maintaining high linearity and high precision.
