Expanding the exx range of thermal imaging cameras, the E52 boasts professional-grade thermal resolution and Flir Inspection Route on-board functionality for more efficient inspections

Teledyne Flir, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, today announced the addition of an E52 camera to its line of Exx thermal imaging devices that currently includes the E96, E86, E76 and E54 models. The new E52 camera features professional-grade thermal resolution for easy image reading and on-board routing functionality that enhances the efficiency of field surveys. Ergonomic and easy to use, the E52 uses the same user-friendly design to help professionals detect early signs of problems in buildings, identify hot spots, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and prevent problems before they cause damage that induce costly repairs.

The 43,200-pixel infrared resolution and 4x digital zoom ensure a professional level of clarity to detect subtle temperature changes revealing the existence of defects and emerging issues. The E52 provides better measurement results: professionals can safely diagnose electrical defects or locate hidden anomalies at temperatures up to 550°C, including in harsh manufacturing and production environments where conditions are particularly harsh, to help keep the workplace running smoothly.

Now offered as standard on every camera in the Exx range, Flir Inspection Route is complemented by Flir Thermal Studio Pro software with the Route Creator plug-in, sold separately as an annual subscription. With the comprehensive routing offering, professionals create and export customized, pre-planned inspection routes that are perfect for large-scale or multi-localized electrical or mechanical projects.

" The advanced thermal imaging cameras in the Exx range enable building professionals, inspectors, engineers, researchers and facility maintenance staff to do more than ever with a portable thermal imaging camera ," said Rickard Lindvall, general manager of Teledyne Flir's solutions business. "With excellent thermal resolution and on-board routing functionality, the E52 thermal imaging camera can help our customers make better, more informed decisions to accomplish their missions more efficiently, at the best price.
The full range of Exx cameras includes MSX image enhancement to include visual camera details to add depth and perception. The E52 camera is equipped with a 24° lens providing a convenient field of view, suitable for most applications.
The new E52 camera is available today in Europe and Asia from authorized dealers and on Flir.com.
