The result is a real breakthrough as it offers any researcher in molecular biophysics or structural biology the opportunity to integrate time-resolved single-molecule and fluorescence microscopy methods into their toolbox. The Luminosa system includes a one-click automatic alignment procedure and intuitive context-based processes. For example, the system can automatically recognize individual molecules, or it can determine correction factors for single molecule freight (smFreight) automatically. For expert users, advanced flexibility is also available by offering access to all optomechanical components and customization of the graphical interface.
